The Center for the Visually Impaired is recognized as the most dynamic and innovative agency serving the blind and visually impaired population in the State of Florida. Located on the largest blind and visually impaired campus in Daytona Beach Florida, the Center for the Visually Impaired is the community's eye resource center. This unique non-profit has provided for over 20 years comprehensive adjustment, training and support services to blind and visually impaired individuals. The Center offers Independant Living Classes for seniors, Teen Transition & Young Adult Programs, Orientation & Mobility classes in your community, Social Club, Music & Art Clubs, Adjustment to Vision Loss support groups, the latest in visual aides, magnifiers and a state of the art computer program. The Centers staff is 30% blind or visually impaired, and offers classes in a warm and supportive atmosphere in the education center. The CVI Bus will even come to your door and pick you up for classes once a week.
